There are a lot of blind users on this site, but there are also many high partials and sighted users. I was thinking it'd be cool if we could put profile pics up here. Tell me what y'all think.
I agree, pics would be awesome
While I understand that pictures would be good to have for some users, I think the issue is that picture files are generally quite large and they would take up quite a lot of space on the server. You could limit pictures to premium members I guess, but even so, I think that putting picture files on to a site which has predominantly blind users is not productive use of server space.

Well, this sight isn't just all blindies; there are high/low partials like me, and then there's sighties. I like the not bigger than blank and blank pixels idea though. that would save room... just an idea.

well, we were thinking of implementing this...but when? We don't know! I did suggest though, that if we did implement this, that we do make it only for premium users...I'll keep you updated...but, keep this topic going. We'd definitely like to see who else pics might benefit on this cite...
Yup images are big in size. So def. the premium users would get it. I don't know if it'd be a benifit because most of us are blind, another half of us are partals and a few are sighted. It'd be fine if we knew the stats of how many blinks, partials and sighties we had on this site then if we had enough partials and sighties who are premiums combined then I'd understand it being a ok option. But it wouldn't benifit me.
OK, soooo, we could survey the premium members and see who's blind, who's partial, and who's sighted, and who would be interested. I've known totally blind people who like posting pics anyway so... yeah.
I agree with songwriter and the negatvity here is terrible, I'm always changing the wallpaper on my screensaver just for the craic...
